The Grants Office offers information, support and technical assistance to lecturers and researchers during the submission, administrative management and financial reporting of European and international research projects.

More specifically, the Grants Office is in charge of:
鈥� Identifying funding opportunities consistent with the University’s research areas;
鈥� Promoting international and European research funding opportunities, organising information meetings with lecturers;
鈥� Assisting and guiding lecturers and researchers during the management of projects, carrying out formal checks for interim reports and final reports;
鈥� Carrying out the financial reporting of projects;
鈥� Supervising the registration and updating of data on portals for participating in European and international projects;
鈥� Monitoring and updating data in databases relating to projects funded at European/international level and periodically disseminating the data.

Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine:
The macro-area of Clinical Sciences and Translational Medicine focuses on deepening the understanding of diseases and conditions affecting the human body. The objective is to understand the underlying mechanisms of diseases, develop new therapeutic approaches, and improve clinical practice.
Public Health Sciences, Global Health, and Ethical and Economic Aspects:
This macro-area combines research on protecting and promoting population health with the study of global issues and the ethical and economic aspects of health. Research includes developing intervention strategies to improve public health and analysing issues related to global health, the evolution of infectious diseases, disease transmission, and the challenges and disparities of international health systems. Ethical studies promote a kind of medical practice that respects human rights and dignity.
Biomedical Sciences:
The Biomedical Sciences macro-area focuses on studying the biological and molecular bases of human health and diseases. This research area explores various biological mechanisms through the study of regulation processes of different cellular activities, in addition to cellular interactions and the physiological and pathological processes involved in human health. The research aims to characterize the genetic bases of diseases, identify new biomarkers to improve diagnostic techniques, and define alterations associated with processes. The main goal is to apply the acquired knowledge in medical practice to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, thereby contributing to people鈥檚 health and well-being.
Rehabilitation Sciences:
The macro-area of Rehabilitation Sciences focuses on the study and application of therapies for functional recovery and the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. This research area involves studies that contribute to identifying and applying therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring compromised functions.
